The letter is acknowledging the receipt of the commands of the Bombay Government, dated 15 and 21 February 1822 (No 288 and 325 of 1822). In response, the letter states that detailed accounts relating to the claims of Abdel Rahim Khan [‘Abd al-Raḥīm Khān] have already been sent to Bombay. It further notes that the Resident hopes that upon examination of said accounts, the Government will reverse its decision not to grant him assistance with the legal proceedings brought against him by Abdel Rahim Khan.
