The memorandum is a request to the Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. to furnish the Government with information about the principal dominions under his jurisdiction. Enclosed with the memorandum is a list (folio 254) of information required by the Government. The list consists of eighteen points, and includes the named, titles and ages of chiefs, estimates of their gross annual revenue, natural and industrial resources, prevalent diseases and measures for vaccination.
