The letter and its enclosures relate to British measures to punish the fugitive Humud bin Mujdell.
The following enclosures are included after Kemball’s letter:
1. Letter no.166 of 1854 (folios 131-32) from Commodore George Robinson, Commanding Officer Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. Squadron to Kemball, dated 31 October 1854, itself enclosing instructions, from Rear Admiral Sir Henry Leake, Commander in Chief of the Indian Navy.
2. A letter (folio 131) from Commander Hewett, Commanding Officer of the Honourable Company’s sloop Falkland , to Robinson, dated 30 October 1854.
3. Letter no.479 of 1854 (folios 134-35) from Kemball to Robinson, dated 14 November 1854.
4. The translation of a letter (folio 136) from Kemball to the Governor of Katiffe [Al-Qaṭīf], dated 13 November 1854.
5. The translation of a letter (folio 137) from Kemball to Shaikh Mahomed bin Khuleefeh [Muḥammad bin Khalīfah], dated 14 November 1854.
