About this record

Content

The letter is a confirmation of receipt of previous correspondence (IOR/R/15/1/130, ff 315-17) from Kemball, reporting on the discovery of indigo plundered from the Centaur at Ukkr and Fujeera [Fujairah]. Malet states that, in light of Major Atkins Hamerton's (Vice-Consul and Agent at Muscat] absence at Muscat, His Lordship in Council has no objection to Kemball requisitioning any indigo found, provided it can be proved as having been plundered from the wrecked Centaur .
