Hennell reports that he is embarking on the Honourable Company's ship Clive for his annual tour of Gulf, accompanied by Arnold Kemball, who will be replacing Hennell as Acting Resident on Hennell's departure for India. Local duties in the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. will in the meantime by carried out by the civil surgeon McAlister.
