About this record

Content

Justin Sheil refers both to Samuel Hennell's despatch of 21 April 1850, no. 159, which concerned an act of piracy committed by the Chief of Nabend, and Sheil's reply to that letter, dated 11 June 1850, which advised Hennell to consider the permission formerly given by the Governor of Fars [Firouz Mirza Nosrat-ed-Dowleh] to repress acts of piracy. Sheil writes that he has not received from Hennell any intimation of the steps that he has taken regarding this matter. He asks Hennell to inform him both of the steps that were taken and of the results.
