Sketch map of the Tigris and Euphrates delta produced to illustrate ‘Report on the Development of Mesopotamia’ showing the proposed irrigation works with new canals and drains labelled for reference and coloured red and blue respectively. Shows marshes and overflow areas with proposed barrages marked.

Title continues: ‘Compiled from plans Nos. 2 and 77 in Sir W. Willcocks’s port folio and a map of Lower Mesopotamia’. Bottom left-hand corner below neat line: ‘M.A. Hakimkhan Draftsman’ and ‘Reg. No. 1306. E 17’.
