Letter regarding an attack by the Gwuttur [Qatar] tribes on Bahrein and the actions of the Bahrein shaik (Shaikh Muḥammed bin Khalīfah Āl Khalīfah) whom Pelly wishes to make an example of.
The letter also discusses the movements of various vessels around the Gulf, the Bunder Abbass [Bandar Abbas] affair; Muscat's claims to Aujam [Henjam]; the weather on the Indian Coast and Russia's claims of a victory over Bokhara [Bukhara].
The letter concludes by discussing the possibility of Way travelling to the arab coast if Pelly is called to Shiraz.
