y. iii. of trie introduction into Bahrain of His Britanic Majesty's
Order-in Council, due to come into force on lyjonda^ Feb.jrd,
(a) This Order -in-Council has becoir.e necessary in order to put
the proceedure of the Court at Bahrain on the same footing as all
other British Courts in the Gulf.
As <vill be seen ,it in no way aims at any radical change or reduc-'
-tion of Y.S.'s authority or prestige and on the contrary it has
increased your honour.
The Order applies to British subjects and to foreigners with respect
to whom Y.S. has agreed with H.M. tnat he shoul'd exercise Jurisdictio
(b) 1. It is an offence for any person to violate or fail to observe
any treaty made between Y.ill. your predecessors or heirs ani H.k.G.
[Z) Any question oi local custom ma^ as neretofore be referred to tne
Wajlis al Urfi
(5) Any dispute between divers and pearling masters may as here-to-fo
be referred to the Salifa Court.
