The letter is an acknowledgement of a command, which instructed the Resident to forward a letter to Nusser Ulla Khan, dispatched 1 February 1808 and reports that an account has been received of property plundered by Sheik Rehma. It also reports that he has received no accounts of Sir Harford Jones [Brydges].
One enclosure; translation of a letter from Nicholas Hankey Smith to Nasser Oolah Khan [Nusser Ulla Khan], Sheraz [Shiraz]. It informs the recipient that he is forwarding a letter received from Bombay. It also notes the remaining balance of plundered company property. However, information on the exact nature of this balance has been lost as a result of pest damage.
