The letter is addressing the concerns of Jaffer Ali Khan [Ja‘afar ‘Alī Khān]; it explains that the Resident will only communicate with Ḥusayn ‘Alī Mirzā, the Prince at Sheraz [Shiraz] or his Prime Minister through him and further assures him that he is not about to quit Bushire on account of the appearance of two French adventurers there. He also further requests that Jaffer Ali Khan send back his servant so he can pick up gifts intended for Nassuroollah Khan.
