James Augustus Grant, Secretary to the Government, Bombay, asks William Bruce, Assistant to the Resident at Bushire, to communicate to the Resident [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur] an enclosed copy of instructions for Emanuel Margotty, Commander of the Bombay Frigate. In the enclosed letter, Margotty is informed that while he is in Bushire he is to consider himself under the orders of the Resident.
