In this letter, received 11 December 1802, Francis Warden, Sub-Secretary to the Government, Bombay, encloses a letter, dated 5 August 1802, from Samuel Manesty, Resident at Bussora [Basra], writing from Maghil, near Bussora, to the Honourable Jonathan Duncan, President and Governor in Council, Bombay. In the enclosed letter, Manesty encloses a copy of a letter (not included), dated 28 May 1802, from Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, to Manesty, concerning the sale of the woollens that were consigned to Bushire via the Governor Duncan and the Diamond .
