Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, acknowledges the receipt of Samuel Manesty's letters of 31 March and 8 April 1802 and claims that the state of the Bushier [ sic ] treasury will not allow him to comply with Manesty's request for 24,000 piasters. He refers to the damaged wollens [woollens] and encloses an account (not included) of the amount to be paid to the Honourable Company.
