400 HISTORY OF SINDE.
On the nomination, by Tymoor Shah, of Meer Futtuh Allee to the
supreme authority in Sinde, that chief made over large tracts ol
country to different branches of his own family, who had aided him
in usurping the government; among these Meer Sohrab and Meer
Thara shared on the largest scale; and as they were vested with un-

which were allotted to Meer Gholam Allee, as the principal Umeer,

it is greatly increased since that period ; and in consideration ol the
extra allowance granted to Meer Gholam Allee, he was bound to
defray the permanent civil and military expences, which are, how
ever, very trifling, beside providing a double share of the tribute due
to the King of Kabool, in the event of payment being enforced.
At the same time that these regulations were framed, with the con
currence of the three brothers, they entered into the most extraordi
