The letter is announcing the capture of Ruselelkhima [Ra's al-Khaymah], along with the unconditional surrender of the Chieftains Hossain ben Rahma [Shaikh Ḥassan bin Raḥmah] and Cazeede ben Ahmed. It notes the General's opinion that the capture of the settlement has broken the 'piratical force' in the region, and his intention to remain in the area a short time in order to effect the settlement of the country.
