The letter is an acknowledgement of receipt of Coghlan’s letter to Jones (folio 183). Jones writes that the British Agent at Muscat will convey direct to Coghlan full details of the case involving the kidnap of a Somali girl by an inhabitant of Ṣūr, who is now believed to be residing at Aden.
