Treatise on the veracity and fidelity of historical accounts by al-Ḥasan ibn Sahl ibn al-Shamkh ibn Ghālib (الحسن بن سهل ابن الشمخ بن غالب).

The text contains two charts (f. 37r and 37v).

Appended to the text is a short anonymous note on money and currency conversion (f. . 40v).

Begins (f. 33v, lines 5-6):

لما تردد بيني وبينك أيها الأخ العزيز وجود النظير أطال الله لي وبعدي بقاك من الكلام

والحوض (!) الكثير في الأخبار التي يخبر بها كثيرون ...

Ends (f. 40r, lines 16-20):

فلنختم كلامنا هذا بحمد الله والثناء

عليه وله ذي الجود والحكمة

والحول ولي العدل وواهب العقل

الحمد لله كثيرًا دائمًا خالصًا كما هو

له أهله

Colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text. (f. 40r, lines 21-27):

نجز كتاب الحسن بن سهل بن الشمخ

بن غالب في أصناف الأخبار التي يخبر

بها كثرة أيّها يجب العدول عن التصديق

به وأيّها يجب التصديق به وأيّها

يجب أن يتوقف عن التصديق به

والحمد لله دائمًا

وبه استعين
