About this record

Content

Letter acknowledging receipt of Hennell's earlier letters (including f 62). Porter writes that he is unable to carry out Hennell's request to escort the Kenn [Kish] boats from Katiff [al-Qatif] to any part of the Arab coast, as the crews of his boats are in too 'weak and sickly state' at present. Porter states that all the boats need to move to a place where the weather will be cooler, to allow his crews to recover.
