ttatea that according to what he had previously reported
about the fears of the Chief of fhargah and the -tate of alarm
in which he fell when he found that Shaikh Fa"!em on hip way to
Ajman happened on account of want of wind to land at Khan where
he was treated to coffee etc by the Inhabitants,the Shaikh of
S argah prevented his people fro poing to pearl fishery.
Finding this the Agent went to Ajman and had an interview with
Shaikh Sallm who replied that hie only object was to obtain
his usual pension which is in arrears, that if he did not get
it, he would attempt to sei^e Shargah or some of the places sub
ject to Ras-el-Khymah. But the Agent advised him not to create
such disturbance. Then he returned to Shargah and advised the
Chief to keep his promises with people and carry out his agree
ments. He has promised to do so, but nothing hae b<»>en done yet.
The Agent states that the Chief of Shargah has been enually
indifferent in keeping his promises and agreements mAfie with the
Chief of Debai, as regards payment of claims of Debai people etc,
in conseauence of which the Chief of Debai has assumed a like
wise a similar tone end has declined to my claims of Shargah
people. The divers of Shargah who had been prevented from going
to sea, have now been allowed to proceed to the pearl fishery
banks.

Physical characteristics

Foliation: This file has been split into four parts.
