p
Translation of a latter from ^haivh All bin ?Qial«»fnh to
Shaikh Humeyd bin Abdullah, dated i^th. ^1877).
I have received your letter and understood what was sai^l,
especially your ^ish that I choulfl prohibit th 0 Boo Paraeyt from
going over to Tomb and causing damage there, as the Island belongs
to you and great deal of correspondence had taken place between
you and my late father ^haleefah bin Paeed who had prevented this
tribe from going there. This is a fact and it has been ascertain
ed by me that the Island of Tomb is a dependency of the Kowasim
of Oman and we have no property there nor any right to interfere,
save with your consent, but as we caused the two countries and r;,
subjecta to be one, and now since it has displeased you, and you
desire me to prohibit them, I shall do so, and you should not be
'
'
displeased.
