Resident in the Psreian Gulf, Bushire.
.1 have received lettern from the Chief end Government Agent
at Lingah in regard to the homes and camels sent "by Chief of
Ras-el-Khymah to the Tumb Islands.
The Lingah people wished to take their cattle to their own
Island but the Chief of Ras-el-Khymah would not consent on the
plea that the Island belonged to their ancestors.
I wrote to the Chief of Pa«-e1-Khyjnab, to Veer clear of this
Island, as I know matters will in the 4nd lead to dinturbancee
on s^Ga between Fars and Arabia for Chief of Ras-el—Khymah has
no right to the Island unless permitted to go there by consent
of Chief of Lingah. The reply of Chief of Ras-el-Khymah is not
suitable. I enclose it for your information.

I have received your letter. In regard to what you write
about my wishing to -nossess myself of the Island of Tombs, I beg
to inform you that the Island of Tombs Boo Musa and Pear are un
der the authority of the Joassim of Oman. The Inland of Hinjam
belong to the A1 boo Baeed. The Islands of Sirree and Nabyan
belong.to the inhabitants of the Joasim living on the coast of
Fars. This is known to all. Some time ago a person named MooIsan
of Debal resided there ?> or 4 years. My grandfather Sultan sent
him out of the place and he went and settled at Henjam. There
is no difference between me and Shaikh Khuleefa of Lingah. But

Foliation: This file has been split into four parts.
