You had neniioned to we about the Island of Tomb, (stat
ing) that you have received letters fron the Government Ageiit
and Sheikh lhalifah that I desired to take pooaeanion of the
Island, Please note, my friend, that I have not entered upon
the Island of Toisb with any opecial purpose, but that the
Islands of Tomb, Abu Musa and Sir are the dependencies of
the Cowaeea of Oman and my(grand) father, the late Sultan,
retained their ooBsession in his lifetime, and the Island of
lenjaa belongs to the family of Bu Gaeed and the Islands
of Serri and Nabiyu to the Qowasem of Fare. This is known
to all the -neonle, so nuch so that Mollasan, inhabitant of
Debai settled down at Tomb for three or four yearn and my
(grand) father Sultan went to him and expelled him froa
