The moveaents in these parts are quiet and the affairs
are satisfactory by the grace of God as you desire. May God
prolong Hi a bounty to us and to you!
lour esteemed letter dated 4th Rabi II was received by
us through the hands of the Honoured Haji Abul Qasim bin
Abbas, and we understood its contents and we were most
pleased for it. As to what you had stated that any one wish
ing to violate the Regulations of the Maritime Peace will
oe repelled, whether he be Salim or any one else. This is
certain to us, but according to what we stated to you for
merly regarding the Island of Bu Musa, viz that it belongs
to Shargah and is our own town and you have information
about it, if Salim desires to dwell therein and to stop
there and if a guarantee is obtained from him that no in
cidents will be caused by him which may annoy firstly our
selves and then yourselves and that there would be no dis
turbances, then it does not matte . But we cannot dispense
with the Island and it is of great use to us. We request
you to furnish us with definite information and to advise
your Agent thereof.
Secondly, you have stated that complaints have been made
against us by your subjects residing in my town. These af
fairs are not as represented, but exaggerations have been made
against ua. Your Agent has inquired into them, and God willing
you will not see anything on our part except what is desired
by you as in the past and we are always observing obedience
