annul the deed of contract for the oxide contract of Abu i '.uea,
which was in the hands of Hajl Hassan bin All Samaiyeh and his
P- * tnera and nuboequently we expelled his workmen from the island.
W© now learn that Haji Hassan bib All Samalyeh on 10th October
1007, that is to say after 8 months after the annulment of the con-
, sold a share in the oxide company which had formerly
belonged to Yueuf bin Abdulla. How could this person possibly sell
a share in a concern which a long time since had been done away
with wholly and entirely. And seeing that the procedure of iiaji
Hassan is against all principles and his motive is to create con
fusion, it is necessary for me to inform you that i am unable to
accept or agree to this action and in view of the fact that the
buyer and seller are dependents of the British Government, i re
quest that you will take steps for the suppression of these objeot-
ionabl e proo^jaD lags •
And whereas you have enquired of m® the nature of Sheikh
balim's connection with Abu ilusa, your honour must be fully aware
of the circumstances, namely that since the time of my assuming
the Government of Shargah and its dependencies, 1 have left the
income of the island of Abu Musa for the subsistence of my uncle
Sheikh Galim so long as he remains steadfast in his loyalty to
and concord with myself; and his sojourn there has been with my
acquiescence and at my will, and my honoured uncle cheikh Salim
in no wise denies this, and as you will see from his letter to me
in which he details the true facts of the position in which we ; .re
placed towards each other in this connection. For yourinformation
I send you Sheikh Salim's letter in original. Furthermore I have
recorded in a note the nature of the position in regard to Abu Lius©
