fh® subsidiary deed admitting Kakhoda All as a partner'' ^
in the expenditure and profits of the Oompany isfikea no such
suggestion but on the contrary clearly places Hakhoda All
(arrjong the partners inter oe) in precisely the same position
as his fellosrs. Hot can the question, or rather the answer,
be begged from the disingenuous query and suggestion made
in Abdul Latif's letter to Hasan of 25rd June IfOR (Geraan
Annex Sf). Abdul Latif himself states that Hasan*s retsly to
that letter indicated that they did recognise Se,-fef and
that he therefore dropped the suggestion.

I have considerable number of letters from Haaan and

conclusively sho^ that they both recognised Nejef as having

As regards the declaration of the British subject Brown
that Mejef expressed approval of the contract and offered to
sell his share, this being a retraction of what he stated
in his petition to Lieutenant Gabriel on 16th February 1908-,
I can only say that the statements which Mr. Brown understood
