Hejef bin (late) Sajl All Ahmed Baleh.
(Bated Lingah, 16th Zilhi^jeh 1326 »SlBt Jemuary 1903).
After Greeting,
I beg to advise you that I cotild not leave home for a
period of forty daya ae I was sick, and that I an, God wil-
lins» better now-a-dayB. I have heard Abbaa Haji All
Altbar that you had written to hin requesting his to epeak
with thla hufnble in regard to Bin ifuraa. Indeed did not
expect tliat such a mearage would cone frota you by any one,
before you come to rae in pereon and receive the facta and
go into the natter© (i.e. learn the cirouiastances>. Then
you will cone to know the account? and every thing with a©
is >ept in proper order* And I consider you like a son
and in the same position as sty son Abdullah and you know
what friendship existed between us and your father, Hajl
All deceased, who did nothing except after consultation
in our bueinesB. And you yourself have (nevertheless) for
gotten his attitude towards' us while we were hopeful that

has as yet been mad® with the antagonist. I
friendly terras with you as with your father, and it is ay
hope that your mind will not be annoyed wi th us. You are
(however) of a hasty temper and listen to the statements
of Jealous parties; (but) the matter should bot be
understood by you. You are like a ton in my estimation
owing to the friendship which I had with your father. In
my opinion t you should coise to us at Lingah for a week's

The file is arranged in four volumes.

Physical characteristics

Foliation: This file has been split into four parts. The complete foliation sequence, which should be used for referencing, runs across all four parts and consists of a pencil number, enclosed in a circle in the top right hand corner of the recto The front of a sheet of paper or leaf, often abbreviated to 'r'. of each folio.
