a in accordance with the contents of this contract, I, Sheikh Seger-ben-Khalet-ben-
oaltan, Cmef of bhargah, enter into partnership from this date with Haji Hassan-hen-
Ali Semey, Abdolla-ben-Hassan, and Isa-ben-Abdul Latif, in the mines of oxide of iron
in the Isiand 01 Abu Musa, which they have got in lease from SffeikK Salem for eh
ansual payment of 250 dollars for so long as the mines are workable and in lease. And
1, Sneikh aeger, also agree to endeavour and render all assistance in my power for
facilitating the work of the mines. For instance, if they wish to have boats for
transporting and men for working in the mines that could be available in Shargah, after
settling their wages, that they agree upon, I bind myself to send with ali quickest
despatch to the isiand. i also agree to enter into partnership regarding thereat
arranged with Sheikh Sal em-ben-Sultan for 100 dollars per annum for discharging m.o.p.
shells in the Island oi Abu Musa, and whatever expenses may be incurred in working the
mines of the oxide of iron, they shall be borne by all the partners in the contract of the
said oxide mines, and whatever the net profit may amount to, will be divided amongst
them all. Be it known.

In accordance with the contents of this contract we, who have mentioned our names
in this contract, have taken into partnership Sheikh Saker-bin-Khaled in the leasehold
of mines of oxide of iron in the Island of Abu Musa, which we have taken in lease from
Sheikh Salem-bin-Sultan for an annual payment of 260 dollars and 100 dollars as rent if
we discharge m.o.p. shells in Abu Musa for commercial purposes.
Sheikh Saker has also arranged with us to render all possible assistance in his
power in order to avoid any stoppage (delay) of work in the mines of the red oxide of
iron; and whatever expenditure of the mines may amount to shall be borne by all the
partners, and the net profits will be divided amongst them ail. On this condition the
contract is concluded. Be this known.
P.S.—And Sheikh Saker has the full power to get out of this partnership of the
said oxide of iron, if he choses to do so.
