The letter records the arrival (from Muscat and Congoon [Kangān]) of Indian carpenters from Bussora [Basra]. The seizure of two express boats (and their packets) by the Sheikh of Congoon is reported and it is stated that a letter has been sent to Congoon asking for their safe return. The letter states that a dispute between the peoples of Bussora and Congoon is the cause of this event.
