Letter giving Pelly's remarks on the suppression of the slave trade which exists between Muskat [Muscat] and Mussendom [Musandam] which was mentioned in Lieutenant Colonel Disbrowe's journal.
Pelly's observations include that the slavers transport slaves during the hot season in the Gulf, April to November, during which time Her Majesty's ships are not able to visit and in order to prevent this, either naval ships will have to be permitted to travel to the Gulf during the hot season, or other ships will have to be commissioned for this purpose.
The letter refers to extracts from correspondence dated 1860 and 1861 which are not enclosed.
