Letter regarding a telegram from Gerald Fitzgerald requesting that the Lynx meet Pelly at Muscat, which Merewether hopes means Pelly is there to resolve issues around Torkee [Turki bin Said]'s possession in Mekran; and discussing Abdool Azeez [Abd'al Aziz al-Said] who instead of keeping guard at Gwadur has started for Chabar [Chāhabār] with the intention of taking possession of it.
The letter goes on to report on a small rebellion at Thustoong Quwettal which has been 'nipped in the bud'; and William Parkes who is proceeding to the Gulf to visit Koweit [Kuwait] and Bussora [Basra] in connection with the Euphrates Railway
