Content: Samuel Hennell refers to one of his earlier letters, no. 54, dated 4 June 1850, in which he forwarded copies of his correspondence with Her Majesty's Minister at the Court of Persia, Lieutenant-Colonel Justin Sheil, on the subject of accusations made against the Government Agent at Shiraz, Mirza Mahmood. Hennell transmits a transcript (not included) of another communication from His Excellency, dated 10 May 1850, together with a copy of Hennell's reply (not included).
