Attached hereto is an account showing an amount
of £«E.l,6flU895 which is due from the Government of Iraq in
respect of 50 tons of Gammexane Bait supplied to them lay this
Unit in May 19^6.
The original amount of the bait offered to iBaq
was 70 tons (1390 sacks), but owing to a sudden infestation of
locusts at Kixwait, 400 sacks representing 20 (twenty) tons had to
be offloaded at that port, and thus an amount representing two
thirds of the shipping and clearing costs is being charged.
It would be greatly appreciated if the account
referred to could be submitted to the Department of Agriculture,
Government of Iraq, for their consideration and remittance at
their convenience.
