The letter is enclosing a communication (not present) from Captain Hardy, which reports on the Arab tribes on the Arabian side of the Gulf. It further notes that Rahma bin Jaubei [Raḥmah bin Jābir] has arrived at Bushire from Muscat; Sa‘īd bin Sultān Āl Sa‘īd, the Imam of Muscat has indicated that he will not take responsibility for him, so the Resident is investigating whether the British should look to Persian authorities in order to hold him to account.
