I hiive the honour to refer to corre8i)ondence ending
with my predecessorletter No. 276»S., dated the eth August
1925, and to forward for the information of the Government of
India a copy of a letter Ho. 87, dated the 8th December 1925,
from the Political ^gent, Muscat, giving cover to a letter
from the Financial Adviser, Muscat Btate, with, which are
enclosed the Budget l.stimates of the State for the year 1926.

State's acquiring, as soon as it could afford to do so, a
