In this letter William Bruce, Resident at Bushire, acknowledges the receipt of Richard Thomas Goodwin's communication, dated 15 February, which enclosed two letters from the Honourable Governor, Mountstuart Elphinstone, addressed to His Royal Highness Hossain Ali Meerza [Ḥusayn ‘Alī Mīrzā A title of honour originally applied to princes, later to military leaders, and later still to secretaries, chieftains, and other ‘gentlemen’. ] and Shaik Abdol Russool [Shaikh ‘Abd al-Rasūl Khān, Governor of Bushire] respectively. Bruce reports that the letters were sent to their addresses this morning.
