It being desirable that the date and hour of transmission should be shewn in all
Official Jelegrams, it is hereby notified for the general guidance of all Government
Officers who may have occasion to make communications by Telegraph, that they
should invariably give the date and hour of despatch, and pay for the same, as the
Telegraph Officers do not insert it unless paid for so doing.

The successor to the Court of Directors. in London, the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. , H M Minister at the Court of Persia.

The main subject is the construction of an overland telegraph line from Constantinople to Baghdad, to be extended to Karachi.
