The item is a covering letter, enclosing a further letter (no.192 of 1852) from Commodore George Robinson, Commanding the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. Naval Squadron, to Kemball, dated 19 December 1852. Robinson's letter is a report of his recent tour to the Arab coast on the Honourable Company's sloop Clive . Robinson informs Kemball of a minor disturbance between the inhabitants of Sharja [Shargah] and Debai, arising from the 'seizure of planks' by the former from the latter.
