The letter is an acknowledgement of receipt of Kemball’s earlier letter relating to the retrieval of two slaves sold to Indian subjects at Lingah [Bandar-e Lengeh], and their despatch to the Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. on the Honourable Company’s steamer Ajdaha . Anderson writes that the Government approves of Kemball’s proceedings.
