The letter relates to the Wahabee [ Wahhābī A follower of the Islamic reform movement known as Wahhabism; also used to refer to the people and territories ruled by the Al-Saud family. ] presence on the Arab coast. Kemball reports that he has received intelligence from the Native Agent Non-British agents affiliated with the British Government. at Sharjah, of which an English translation is enclosed with his letter, dated 29 December 1853 (folio 175), stating that the Wahhabi commander Abdullah bin Fysul [‘Abdullāh bin Fayṣa] has dparted from Brymee [Al Buraymī], leaving one of his lieutenants and a reduced forced in charge.
