Letter regarding a letter that Pelly had sent to the Wahabee [Wahhabi] Ameer [Amir Faisal ibn Turki al Sa'ud] and his thoughts that the demands made in the letter will be ignored and that therefore naval action against their forts may be required.
The letter goes on to detail Pelly's intentions of viewing the character, resources and temper of the tribes on the Muskat frontier and reporting on the Sultan (Thuwaini bin Said)'s intentions of gathering tribes and support for an assault on the Wahabee stronghold of Beraymee [Al Buraymī].
