A short treatise on the construction and use of the astrolabe Ancient instrument for astronomical observations. by Bahā’ al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Ḥusayn al-‘Āmilī (بهاء الدين محمد بن حسين العاملي; d. 1621). The scribe, Ibn ‘Abd al-Raḥīm Abū al-Qāsim Yaḥyá al-Astar’ābādī (ابن عبد الرحيم أبو القاسم يحيى الأسترآبادي), states in the colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text. that he copied the text from the author's autograph (f. 12r, line 6).
Begins (f. 7v, lines 2-3):
ارتفعت درجات جبروتك عن إحاطه إفهامنا القاصرة
وتقدست دقائق ملكوتك عن علاقة أوامنا الخاسرة جميع ما أرستم
Ends (f. 12r, lines 2-5):
... فظل المقياس وقت بلوغ الشمس إليها على
صوب القبلة وليك هذا آخر ما أردنا إيراده في هذه الأوراق
والصلوة على سيد الخلاق على الإطلاق محمد وآله الطاهرين
والحمد لله رب العالمين

كتبها من خط مؤلفها أدام الله ظلال إفادته وإفاضته وهدايته
على مفارق أهل عصره بمنه وصدره (؟) وكاتبه الفقير إلى رحمة الله الملك الهادي
