Letter regarding Mirza Mehdy Khan's [Mirza Mehdi Khan] arrival at Bushire and the Nusseer ool Moolk [Nasir ul-Mulk] taking the opportunity of his arrival to press the Foreign Agent for responses to letters.
The letter proceeds with news from Bahrein [Bahrain] from 16 January regarding the Wahabees [Wahabis] being reported to still be in the Kateef [Al-Qatif] area although nothing is known of their movements and that they are apparently afraid of further attacks on their ports by the British Vessels of War. This news was reported by a letter from Hyder Khan via Sheikh Esou [Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifah] of Bahrein [Bahrain].
Other news reported on includes the resolving of the affair involving Mr Tigranes and the son of Hajee Mahomed Tuckee [Haji Muhammad Taqi]; a letter from Syed Majid [Sayyid Majid bin Said Al-Busaid] who is attempting to recover money he believes he has been cheated out of; Mahommed Busheer [Muhammad Baqir] reporting that people are ready to return to Bahrein if the British will protect the island; new fees for vessels taking pilgrims to Jeddah [Jedda]; and that they are still awaiting rain and the cold weather.
A postscript to the letter informs Pelly of a disagreement between Hajee Abdool Nubbee [Haji Abd-al Nubi] and the owner of the palace over the ground in front of the palace which Hajee Abdool Nubbee is the lawful owner of.
