The letter is an acknowledgement of receipt of the former Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. Captain Arnold Kemball’s letters relating to an incident of piracy committed by subjects of Aboothabee [Abu Dhabi] against a boat from Bahrain. Anderson writes that His Lordship in Council approves of Kemball’s proceedings.
