The letter is an acknowledgement of receipt of the Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , Captain Arnold Kemball’s earlier letter, which was a report of his annual tour of the Arab coast of the Gulf. Anderson writes that the Government ‘generally approves’ of the report.
