Content

The letter is an acknowledgement of receipt of Kemball’s earlier letter (folios 20-21) with his explanations relating to the Arab slave trade. Anderson writes that His Lordship in Council is highly satisfied with the assurance of cordial relations with the Persian Government over the suppression of the slave trade, and recommends a gift of sorts be made to the Persian Slave Trade Commissioner, Meerza Mahmood Khan.
