The letter and its enclosure relate to the recent seizure and release of the bugla Large trading vessel. [ buggalow Large trading vessel. , or boat] Sumhere in the Gulf, which Kemball reported previously was caught transporting slaves. The enclosure with Anderson’s letter is an extract of paragraph 11 of despatch no.32 of 1854 from the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. , dated 22 November 1854. The extract states that, while it was proper for the vessel to be released, it is not clear whether the slaves found on board have been liberated.
