Content: Report of the movements of vessels outside the harbour at al-Qatif, where Balfour is stationed as part of the blockade of the port. Balfour describes the nature of the shallow waters, and the risks to his vessel and the Tigris of damage on the shallow banks. Balfour continues that he was informed the previous evening by the Sheikh of Bahrain of peace having been made between himself and the 'Katiff [al-Qatif] people'.
