The payment of subsidies for the Saldi-Kaur (Suntsar)-Charbar line was
sanctioned by the Government of India with effect from 19th December 1917.
The old coastal line will, in all probability, be dismantled next working season.
The payment by the Political Department, Bushire, of extra monthly sub
sidies on account of the protection of the telegraph line, to the above chiefs and
Mir Burkat, was re-sanctioned up to the 30th November.
The telegraph line between Charbar and Jask was interrupted owing to
Interruptions. wilful damage by Joushdaris, Karwanio

Es. 246-11-3 were deducted from the subsidy of Mir Yahya Khan on account
ol the cost of insulators and stalks removed in his district between July and

The Director left Karachi on his annual tour of inspection on the 12th
T November and, after visiting the telegraph

to headquarters on the 20th December. On the down trip he interviewed Mirs
Hoti and Mustafa Khan at Jask, No chiefs visited him at Charbar.
