I have the honour to submit the information called for by Government
on the 17th February 1854, regarding the principal estates within my
political control. No mention is therein made of the ports on the Persian
Coast between Bushire and Bunder Abbas given below, because, being
situated within the territorial limits of Persia, their inhabitants
acknowledge a direct allegiance to the Shah, and, contributing to the
general revenue of the country, are more or less influenced in their
condition, and in the condition of their chiefs, by the administration
of the provincial functionaries within whose districts they are included.

shores of the Gulf, whence they originally migrated, the general
remarks apply equally to them as to the latter. Their means of

Both these pagination sequences are printed, with additions in pencil, and the numbers are found at the top (left, right or centre) of each page.
